We’ve added performance upgrades to open up more riding opportunities for newcomers and older riders too – no matter what kind of journey you want to tackle. With eye-catching racing colours and new bodywork – an influence from the competitive CRF450R motocross bike – it may look aggressive, but it has a friendly and compliant temperament that’s easy on the rider.

The power and performance to take on the rough and the smooth – anywhere.The engine is a revamped, 250cc liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC single-cylinder type. EURO4-compliant, the PGM-FI ignition feeds fuel through a larger 38mm throttle body. All of this matched with a revised air-box and new, lighter exhaust system, makes 24.4hp at 8,500rpm and 16.66lb/ft torque 6,750rpm.
A frame that’s constructed from steel – with twin oval-section main spars and a semi-double cradle – is a strong combination that’s tough enough to take on a long, off-road excursion yet narrow enough for slipping through town.
A primary balance shaft reduces engine vibration, while the six-speed gearbox and clutch are manufactured to cope with the extra stress of riding off road – as well as delivering smooth control in town traffic.
Floating discs with ABS
For extra braking power a 296mm floating, wave-style, disc is gripped by a two-piston caliper. Two-channel ABS is fitted as standard and gives the rider the option to switch off the rear caliper for independent control when you need it.
